How to choose a mixed wine case for Christmas

A mixed case is the easiest way to get through Christmas without a last-minute dash to the shop: six bottles, chosen to cover different dishes and moments, delivered in one go. The question is which case suits the way you celebrate.

Match the case to the menu

• Turkey and trimmings: a lighter red such as Pinot Noir or Rară Neagră, or a fuller white like Chardonnay.
• Beef, lamb or game: the structured reds in the Premium or Mileștii Mici cases.
• Smoked salmon and starters: sparkling wine, Fetească Albă or a dry rosé.
