A Post-Valentine’s Blind Wine Tasting Experience
Valentine’s Day might have been over, but love was still in the air at our wine shop on February 15th! We had the absolute pleasure of hosting 16 wonderful guests for an exclusive Blind Wine Tasting event, diving into the captivating world of Moldovan wines.
With 5 exquisite Moldovan wines on the table — 2 dry whites, 2 dry reds, and a sweet dessert wine — each bottle was carefully covered to keep its identity a mystery. The challenge? Guessing the grape variety!
Guided by our passionate owner, Cristina, we worked together using detailed fact sheets to discover the aromas, flavours, and textures in each glass. Was it Pinot Grigio? Sauvignon Blanc? Viorica? The suspense made every sip even more thrilling!
Our Guests Impressive Wine Knowledge
The results were truly remarkable! Two times out of five, we correctly identified the grape variety on the first try. A huge round of applause to our incredible guests for their impressive palates and enthusiasm!
Once we carefully analyzed and, of course, enjoyed each wine, we unveiled the hidden bottles—confirming our guesses and continuing to savour the experience with great company and delicious charcuterie.

- Cricova Winery Vriorica, white dry
- Chateau Purcari Pinot Grigio, white dry
- Milestii Mici Merlot Vintage 2009, red dry
- Terra Dacia Feteasca Neagra, red dry
- Chateau Purcari Pastoral, sweet red dessert wine
